HOUSTON– Deep Down Inc. has received an order from Shell for work related to its deepwater Vito development in the US Gulf of Mexico.
The order is for the design, engineering, manufacturing, and installation of an isolation valve system on the Vito floating production unit (FPU). The isolation valve system will be installed onto the FPU to provide shutdown of production fluids.
TheVito FPU will be located at a water depth of 1,234 m (4,049 ft) in Mississippi Canyon block 984, 241 km (150 mi) south of New Orleans.
