TANANGER, Norway – ConocoPhillips Norge has opened the new Ekofisk 2/4 L accommodation and field center platform on the Ekofisk complex in the southern Norwegian North Sea. It replaces two facilities that had been in service since the 1970s.
The company claims this is the largest accommodation platform in theNorth Sea, with 552 individual cabins along with offices, a hospital, recreational areas, and a new telecommunications center.
Additionally, the platform has two helicopter hangars and a helideck with a capacity for 50 daily flights.
