Heavy-oil trio consider North Sea gas import pipeline

BANCHORY, UK – Xcite Energy Resources (XER) has entered a collaboration agreement with Statoil (U.K.) and EnQuest Heather Ltd. in the UK northern North Sea.

This involves sharing field-specific technical and operational information to evaluate potential use of common gas import infrastructure between theKraken, Bentley, and Bressay heavy-oil field developments.

A joint team from the three companies will analyze available information and formulate proposals to assess the benefits of installing a shared gas import pipeline.
