HAMILTON, BERMUDA -- Dockwise is mobilizing for transport and float-over installation of the topside for Woodside's Angel platform.
In December 2005 Clough Aker Joint Venture contracted Dockwise for the transport and installation of the topside. The project is currently in the execution phase.
On March 14, 2008 theBlack Marlin ballasted down to loading draft and the link beams were subsequently installed. With the link beams in position, the wires for the strand jacks were pulled into the anchors on board. Four jacks were used with 27 strands each.
Seafastening is expected to take three days. TheBlack Marlin will depart for the Angel field on March 23, 2008. Transit is estimated to take six days. Once the Black Marlin is moored in the pre-laid mooring system, the installation will be executed.
