KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Petronas has approved Lundin Malaysia’s development plan for the Bertam field offshore Peninsular Malaysia.
Lundin has a 75% interest in the field and surrounding block PM307, with Petronas Carigali the other partner.
Development will be based around a 20-slot wellhead platform alongside a spread-moored FPSO in a water depth of 76 m (249 ft). There will be 14 horizontal wells completed with electric submersible pumps.
Lundin estimates total investment, aside from FPSO-related costs, at around $400 million.
