BUSHEHR, Iran – Iranian Offshore Oil Co. (IOOC) has installed the second new 1,000-ton platform at the Hendijan field in the Persian Gulf.
Platforms 07 and 08 are designed to increase the field’s oil production capacity by 20,000 b/d, according to news service Shana.
Facilities for enhanced well productivity include water injection, gas injection, and pumping.
According to an IOOC official, the shallow-water depth made installation of the second platform (07) more complex due to associated anchoring, floating, and standing requirements.
