    LOC to survey North Sea gas project marine operations

    Independent Oil & Gas has awarded LOC Group the marine warranty surveyor contract for Phase 1 of the Core gas development project in the UK southern North Sea.

    Offshore staff

    LONDON – Independent Oil & Gas (IOG) has awarded LOC Group the marine warranty surveyor (MWS) contract for Phase 1 of the Core gas development project in the UK southern North Sea.

    The development takes in the Blythe, Elgood and Southwark, which IOG operates, in partnership with CalEnergy Resources (UK).

    Production is due to start in 3Q 2021.

    LOC’s role covers the marine transportation and installation operations of the Blythe and Southwark platforms and the associated pipelines and subsea facilities.

    The company will manage its program from its London office, supported by its European subsidiaries and the Aberdeen and Longitude Engineering offices.
