RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil — Petrobras and Mitsui & Co. (Brasil) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) during the CERAWeek by S&P Global conference this week in Houston.
They plan to jointly assess opportunities for the production of sustainable hydrogen and its derivatives, the use of biomethane, and CO2 capture, transportation and storage.
Mitsui & Co. is a trading and investment company with a presence in more than 60 countries and a business portfolio covering a wide range of sectors.
The MoU is said to align with low-carbon priorities in Petrobras’ 2024-28+ Strategic Plan to prepare the company for the energy transition.
