Trillion Energy International has provided a status update for its current well intervention program at the SASB gas field in the Turkish sector of the Black Sea.
The South Akcakoca-2 well was perforated over three separate intervals for a total of 6.4 m MD. Latest readings showed a flow rate of 2.88 MMcf/d with a wellhead pressure of 318 psi.
Monitoring will continue until the well reaches a stable rate. Production characteristics indicated that perforating the new zones blew the water out of the well, with the reservoirs that were water blocked now cleaning up and producing gas.
The Guluc-2 well was perforated over four intervals for a total of 7.7 m MD, with wellhead pressure settling at 1,098 psi. The well will initially be flowed to clean out water and perforation debris out to enable gas production, then it will be shut in while South Akcakoca-2 gas production stabilizes.
A perforation operation continues on West Akcakoca-1, to be followed by perforation of the remaining pay in Akcakoca-3.
The next phase of the project will involve installing the smaller, 2 3/8-inch production tubing to allow the wells to produce for a few years before water loading re-occurs.
