Lundin lands rig for Norway wells

Lundin Norway has entered into a letter of award with drilling contractor Dolphin. This involves a two-well program on the Norwegian continental shelf using the semisubmersible Bredford Dolphin, starting early next year.

OSLO, Norway -- Lundin Norway has entered into a letter of award with drilling contractor Dolphin. This involves a two-well program on the Norwegian continental shelf using the semisubmersible Bredford Dolphin, starting early next year.

The $40-million contract covers a drilling program of around 120 days. Lundin has the option, up to Dec. 1, to extend the contract period with two additional wells.
