OSLO, Norway – Lundin Norway has permission from the Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority to drill two exploratory wells east of the Edvard Grieg field in the North Sea.
The semisubmersibleLeiv Eiriksson is due to start the program on wells 16/1-31 S and 16/1-31 A next month in license OL 338, in 111 m (364 ft) water depth.
The campaign could last 83 days, including the options of a side track and formation tests.
