Statoil resumes exploration on North Sea Oseberg field

OSLO, Norway – Statoil has authorization from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill an exploratory well on the Oseberg field in the North Sea.

Well 30/6-28 S will be drilled by the COSL Pioneer in license 053, at a location between the Oseberg A and Oseberg C platforms.

The license covers parts of block 30/6. Statoil operates, in partnership with Petoro, Total, ExxonMobil, and ConocoPhillips.
