StatoilHydro locks up fluid, cement services

StatoilHydro has signed contract extensions totaling NOK 2.5 billion ($462 million) for cementing and fluids services in the Norwegian offshore sector with Halliburton, MI Swaco, and Schlumberger.

STAVANGER, Norway –StatoilHydro has signed contract extensions totaling NOK 2.5 billion ($462 million) for cementing and fluids services in the Norwegian offshore sector with Halliburton, MI Swaco, and Schlumberger.

Each of the three extensions runs for two years starting Sept. 1, 2008. The Halliburton extension covers both cementing and fluids, MI Swaco will provide fluids services, and Schlumberger will provide cementing services.
