OSLO, Norway – Wellesley Petroleum has the go-ahead from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for an exploration well in the North Sea.

The semisubmersible Borgland Dolphin will drill well 36/1-4 S in production license 885, 65 km (40 mi) north of the Gjøa field.

This will be the second well on the license, which was awarded under Norway’s APA 2016 round.
