LONDON – Kistos expects Borr Drilling’s jackup Prospector-1 to arrive on location in the Dutch North Sea shortly to start a four-month contract.
The drilling campaign, part of Kistos’ program to convert around 100 MMboe of 2C resources to 2P reserves, will include:
Appraisal of the Q11-B gas discovery, which is estimated to contain more than 170 bcf. If the result meets expectations, Q11-B could go onstream before the end of 2023.
Flow test of the Vlieland light oil discovery in a naturally fractured reservoir overlying the producing Q10-A field, and thought to hold more than 70 MMbbl.
Sidetracking the Q10-A-04 well (not currently onstream) to a new location in the Slochteren formation, the field’s primary producing reservoir.
Re-perforating the Q10-A-06 well to increase output.
