LYNGBY, Denmark – Maersk Drilling’s low emissions jackup Maersk Intrepid will perform additional intervention work at the Martin Linge field in the Norwegian North Sea.
Equinor has exercized this option in the rig’s contract, which now runs until February 2022. Firm value of the extension is around $10.5 million, including integrated services but excluding potential performance bonuses.
It is covered under the two companies’ master framework agreement under which they have committed to collaborate on technology advancements and further initiatives to limit greenhouse gas emissions.
The Martin Linge development started production earlier this week.
