Aker BP and Odfjell Drilling have signed a contract that commits further work to the semisubmersible Deepsea Stavanger under the existing frame agreement.

ABERDEEN, UK – Aker BP and Odfjell Drilling have signed a contract that commits further work to the semisubmersible Deepsea Stavanger under the existing frame agreement.
The initial contract scope is five wells in Norway and has an estimated contract value of up to $44 million plus incentives.
The contract is expected to start at the latest by the end of 3Q 2021, back-to-back with the Deepsea Stavanger’s return from South Africa.
The rig is currently drilling the Total-operated Luiperd-1X, the second exploratory well on deepwater block 11B/12B offshore South Africa.
