LONDON – Tullow Oil plans to drill the Goliathberg-Voltzberg North prospect in block 47 offshore Suriname in 1Q 2021, the company said in a trading statement.

It expects to issue a rig contract shortly for the Upper Cretaceous prospect. Pluspetrol is the other partner in the concession.

During the first half of this year, Tullow added, COVID-19 has not impacted its operated production centers.

Offshore Ghana, the Jubilee area averaged 84,700 b/d and the TEN fields 50,900 b/d. For both the FPSOs, uptime was above 95%.

Completion operations are under way for the Ntomme-9 production well at TEN, which should come onstream in August.
