PSA sanctions three exploratory wells offshore Norway

OSLO, Norway – The Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) has approved three more exploration wells.
Neptune Energy has consent to drill the Hamlet prospect in block 35/9 in the North Sea, using the semisubmersible Deepsea Yantai.
The program, in a water depth of 358 m (1,174 ft), should last 53 days.
Equinor has permission for two wells in different sectors. The semisub West Hercules will drill well 6407/1-8 S on the Appolonia prospect in license PL263, in a water depth of 295 m (968 ft) - drilling should take 54 days to complete.
In the North Sea, the Deepsea Atlantic will drill well 34/7-37 on the 7-Fjell structure in 142 m (466 ft) of water in PL089. Drilling should last 38 days.
