    MOL signs Maersk jackup for North Sea well

    MOL Norge has contracted the Maersk Drilling jackup Maersk Interceptor for an exploration well on license PL617 in the southern Norwegian North Sea.

    COPENHAGEN, Denmark – MOL Norge has contracted the Maersk Drilling jackup Maersk Interceptor for an exploration well on license PL617 in the southern Norwegian North Sea.

    The $16.5-million contract is due to start in August 2020, with an estimated duration of 60 days. The Maersk Interceptor is a harsh environment CJ70 XLE jackup, designed for year-round operations in the North Sea. It was delivered in 2013 and currently operates offshore Norway.
