LONDON — Salman Malik, EnQuest's CFO and managing director, Infrastructure and New Energy, will assume the role of CEO of Veri Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of EnQuest.
Malik has been with the company since April 2013 and has held his current role since August 2022. Malik will remain an executive director of the board of EnQuest.
Veri Energy, which EnQuest launched today, will be responsible for managing the company's existing infrastructure and new energy business with a focused management structure.

In addition, Jonathan Copus will become EnQuest CFO, effective Feb. 1, 2024. Copus will be recommended for election to the board as an executive director at the company's 2024 annual general meeting. He previously held the roles of CFO of Salamander Energy and CEO of Getech Group.
In the interim, Malik and Copus will work together to undertake an effective and orderly transition.
