LONDON — Equatorial Guinea’s state oil company GEPetrol has awarded Petrofac a five-year technical services contract to support production operations from offshore Block B.
Under the program, valued at about $350 million, Petrofac will provide services to onshore support bases, an FPSO and a platform at the Zafiro Field on behalf of GEPetrol.
Duties will include operations, maintenance, asset integrity, integrity management, marine services, well engineering, project delivery and supply chain services.
It follows Petrofac’s initial work scope supporting the transition of the facilities from Mobil Equatorial Guinea. Local staff and contractors involved will continue in various roles, with Petrofac managing the program from Malabo, supported by its technical hub in Aberdeen.
