Software specialist wins drillship commission

Stena Drilling has ordered a Loading Computer software package from Onboard-Napa for use on the deepwater drillship Stena DrillMAX.

HELSINKI, Finland-- Stena Drilling has ordered a Loading Computer software package from Onboard-Napa for use on the deepwater drillship Stena DrillMAX. The vessel is under construction by Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea, and due to be delivered late in 2011.

Onboard-Napa also is preparing to unveil NAPA Release 2010.1, designed to provide improvements to applications used in stability analysis and structural modeling of offshore platforms. Features will include a variable heeling direction calculation mode for stability analysis, otherwise known as “free twist”.
