ZUG, Switzerland -- Foster Wheeler’s Global Engineering and Construction Group is to provide project management consultancy services for a new floating LNG receiving terminal to be built in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia.
The contract was awarded by Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN), the state-owned enterprise in natural gas business in Indonesia.
Foster Wheeler's work scope includes technical assistance through the initial phase of the development of the project; conceptual design of the terminal; basic design of the subsea and onshore pipeline; preparation and issue of an invitation to bid for engineering, procurement, and construction; EPC bid evaluations; preparation of the EPC contract; and supporting PGN in EPC contract negotiations.
Foster Wheeler will also act as owner's engineer during the EPC phase of the project through to start-up of the terminal.
