The Straked Buoyancy Module provides vortex-induced vibrations (VIV) suppression strakes as part of the module and an inter-module locking system that provides a continuous helix once assembled. This provides the buoyancy required of the jumpers while breaking the vortices and suppressing potentially destructive VIV, says the company.
