New Imrandd software assists with offshore asset health and performance

ABERDEEN — Imrandd has developed an asset management tool that is designed to harnesses artificial intelligence (AI) to reduce inspection time and costs for offshore operators.
Following a £1million ($1.2 million) investment, the company said its monitoring and intervention ALERT software has been designed to go beyond traditional approaches to routine asset integrity monitoring. Imrandd also received funding from the Net Zero Technology Centre.
The event-driven software monitors for corrosion threats allowing organizations to act before damage occurs, analyzing integrity data in near-real time. The integrated dashboard displays a live, round-the-clock snapshot of an asset’s performance to provide instant insights into its current condition while forecasting the future states of safety-critical systems.
ALERT, which was just released this week, serves as an indicator to proactively address potential threats before they escalate. The technology delivered 40% efficiencies during a pilot program, and the company is in discussions with two UK operators about the new software.
“System-agnostic, it reduces engineering time by allowing operatives to view asset systems against ambient conditions, degradation hot spots and remaining life-cycle durations," Imrandd founder and CEO Innes Auchterlonie said. “Tens of millions of sensitive data points can be rapidly processed to provide more accurate trends and quality of output. Its intuitive approach replaces conventional ‘check-and-act’ methods with a more precise system enhancing efficiency, reducing downtime, and ultimately contributing to a safer and more sustainable future.”
