MUSCAT, Oman— Monsoon weather has disrupted engineering work at the Yumna oil field in Block 50 offshore Oman.
Operator Masirah Oil said all equipment and systems for the replacement of the flow line had been in place on the supply vessel, ready for deployment.
But strong waves of 3 m to 4.5 m high are preventing safe action on the flowline. The team is waiting for a window of up to 48 hours of calm, with waves that are less than 2 m to 2.5 m high, to proceed with the replacement.
