LONDON – Oil & Gas UK has welcomed an announcement by Britain’s government that oil and gas workers are included on a list of key personnel whose children will be prioritized for education provision.
OGUK chief executive Deirdre Michie said: “As an industry we are committed to doing everything possible we can to help the country and our businesses and our people through this devastating crisis and we appreciate the announcement today on access to education.
“We’re working closely with government to resolve any challenges we face to maintain safe operations for our people and ultimately ensuring we can continue to provide the UK with secure and affordable energy.”
