Volstad Maritime gets name change

Volstad Maritime has become Havila Subsea & Renewables, and it is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the Havila Group.

FOSNAVAG, Norway Volstad Maritime has become Havila Subsea & Renewables, and it is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the Havila Group.

Earlier this year, Sæviking AS, a Havila Group company, transitioned from being the majority owner to the sole owner of Volstad Maritime. 

For the seafarers of the former Volstad Maritime, the administration will continue to operate from the Ålesund office. 

Havila Subsea & Renewables and Havila Shipping together employ about 500 seafarers. Havila Subsea & Renewables operates six vessels, while Havila Shipping operates 14 vessels.

The ships of Havila Subsea & Renewables will retain their existing names, with the Havila name possibly being added. 

Investment company Havila Holding is owned by Per Sævik together with his children Njål Sævik, Hege Sævik Rabben and Vegard Sævik, who make up the board of directors of the company.

Njål Sævik will sit on the board of Havila Subsea & Renewables. Hege Sævik Rabben joins as a new board member, while Stein Pettersen serves as chair.
