Topaz secures more vessel assignments in Caspian, Middle East region

Topaz Energy and Marine has issued an update on the offshore support vessel activities of its subsidiary Nico Middle East.

DUBAI, UAETopaz Energy and Marine has issued an update on the offshore support vessel activities of its subsidiary Nico Middle East.

In theCaspian region, 1Q fleet usage was up compared with 1Q 2013 due to Lukoil’s V.Filanovsky development, where the company has six vessels deployed.

Recently it won a medium-term contract for two anchor handlers to work in the Turkmen sector.

In theMiddle East, the company says business has been solid offshore Qatar and Saudi Arabia in particular. Recently contracts for three vessels were extended, and the company is pursuing tenders for long-term contracts that could involve additions to the fleet in 2014.

OffshoreWest Africa, the company has 11 vessels operating. It recently won a medium-term contract in Nigeria for a newbuild platform supply vessel, and it has established an office in the country to provide operational support.
