TOKYO – INPEX will inaugurate the INPEX Research Hub for Energy Transformation (I-RHEX) on April 1.

The facility, located at the company’s technical research center, will be used to develop/enhance clean energy technologies.

It will also be an open resource for the application of oil and gas development technologies for clean energy settings, also providing R&D into emerging technologies such as carbon capture utilization and storage low-cost hydrogen production.

INPEX also plans to use I-RHEX to collaborate with a wide range of companies, universities, and research institutions to pursue its energy transformation goals.

The CO2 Storage Group and the EX Group, to be established at the technical research center, will lead much of these developments and will serve as the points of contact for internal and external networking and communications.
