COPENHAGEN, Denmark – Maersk Drilling says that its jackup Maersk Resolute, recently reactivated following warm stacking, has been performing strongly for Petrogas E&P Netherlands in the northern sector of the Dutch North Sea.
The crew finished the contract over seven days ahead of schedule, saving the time and money, with non-productive time during the 104-day program below 1.5%.
“With theMaersk Resolute, we have proven that it is possible to drill shallow gas wells very effectively and with a single supply vessel,” said Nick Dancer, Petrogas’ general manager, and Marcel van der Meer, drilling manager, in a joint statement.
During the campaign the rig also drilled what the contractor claims is the shallowest horizontal gas well ever in the A&B blocks area.
