KONGSBERG, Norway – Kongsberg Digital has agreed to acquire a 34% stake in NSG Digital, a subsidiary of supply base/logistics company NorSea Group.
They will pursue opportunities for digitalization of oil and gas and offshore wind supply chains.
Both have collaborated since the start of this year on developing a new logistics system called NSG E2E (End-to-End), offered as a part of Kongsberg Digital’s application platform, Kognifai.
The system is said to improve logistics management through increasing information sharing and collaboration across the supply chain.
“Digitalization holds a great potential for optimizing logistics operation within the oil and gas industry,” said Hege Skryseth, president of Kongsberg Digital.
“By connecting and making better use of the vast amounts of data companies possess, significant efficiency improvements can be made.”
