PSA authorizes North Sea Troll B modifications

Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has approved Statoil’s request for major modifications, installation, and start-up of the Troll B ZMP module on the Troll field in the North Sea.

OSLO, Norway – Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has approved Statoil’s request for major modifications, installation, and start-up of the Troll B ZMP module on the Troll field in the North Sea.

Troll is 65 km (40 mi) west of Kollsnes in Hordaland County and is the North Sea’s largest gas discovery.

Planned start-up of the new equipment is in 3Q 2018.
