FORNEBU, Norway/LUXEMBOURG  Aker BP has awarded two subsea contracts for its Trell & Trine development in the Norwegian North Sea.

Aker BP submitted its plan for development and operation yesterday.

Aker Solutions will supply the subsea production system for the development, a 21-km subsea tieback to the Alvheim FPSO, connected via the East Kameleon subsea manifold.

The package will comprise three horizontal subsea trees, two manifolds, control systems, close to 30 km of subsea umbilicals, and associated equipment and installation work. Final deliveries will take place in early 2024.

Subsea 7’s responsibilities cover engineering, procurement, construction and installation of the pipelines, spools, protection covers and tie-ins using vessels from its fleet. The production pipeline is a pipe-in-pipe design.

The company is managing the project and engineering from its offices in Stavanger, with fabrication of the pipelines to be performed at its spoolbase at Vigra, Norway.

Offshore operations should occur during 2023 to 2024.
