OTC 2025: OTC recognizes 2025 Spotlight on New Technology award winners
The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) has announced the winners of their 2025 Spotlight on New Technology Award. This honor is given exclusively to OTC exhibitors who are reshaping the offshore energy sector through their innovation and development of technologies.
This year, 10 technologies were selected for their demonstrated advancements in the industry.
This year’s technologies are exceptional, OTC says, and were selected based on the following criteria: product uniqueness, degree of ingenuity, demonstrated success, commercial viability, and the ability to make a significant impact across the offshore industry.
“OTC is proud to recognize these companies for their extraordinary technological contributions and advancements in the offshore energy sector,” said Alex Martinez, chairperson, OTC Board of Directors. “The technologies spotlighted this year represent the brilliance, ingenuity, and collaboration of our workforce. Together, they are leading the industry into the future and revolutionizing the field for generations to come.”
This year’s Spotlight Award winners are:
- Baker Hughes Leucipa ESP optimizer, a module of the Leucipa automated field production solution
- Baker Hughes SureCONTROL Plus electric intelligent completion system
- Bosch Rexroth Hägglunds Fusion The Power of One
- DeepOcean Driver-Less Tie In Tool
- Fugro Quantitative Integrated Ground Model (QIGM) Solution
- McCoy Global Smart Tubular Running - smarTR
- Oil States TowerLok Wind Tower Connector
- SLB AutoProfiler automated inline fluid testing
- SLB Electris Completions.
OTC also conferred a Small Business Spotlight Award: it is HYTORC Industrial Bolting Systems for its Lithium Series RX (LSRX).
OTC says that it has been honoring small businesses and their contributions to the offshore energy industry since 2015, marking this year the 10th anniversary of the Small Business Spotlight Award. To qualify for the small business award, companies are required to meet the following criteria: Be independently owned and operated, or registered as a nonprofit organization, and have no more than 300 employees in the 12 months prior to the application deadline.
