Offshore rope specialist merges with Bekaert

The newly-merged Bridon-Bekaert Ropes Group has started operating, employing around 2,500 people in 17 countries.

DONCASTER, UK – The newly-merged Bridon-Bekaert Ropes Group has started operating, employing around 2,500 people in 17 countries.

CEO Bruno Humblet said: “The new group combines Bekaert’s existing strength in the regions of Americas and Australia and Bridon’s strong market position in Europe and the USA.”

Bridon previously designed and manufactured mooring ropes for numerous offshore drilling rigs and platforms.
