OSLO, Norway – The Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority has approved plans by the newly formed Spirit Energy (ex-Centrica E&P Norge and Bayerngas Norge) for wildcat drilling in the Norwegian Sea.
These involve use of the semisubmersibleIsland Innovatorto drill and test wells 6506/9-4 and 6506/9-4 A in production license 433. Operations should begin next month.
