PERTH, Australia – BHP says that it has received positive feedback to its exploration and appraisal plan for the Trion contractual area license CNH-A1-Trion/2016 (blocks AE-0092 and AE-0093).
The company submitted its proposals to Mexico’s Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos and PEMEX last August.
It now anticipates drilling the exploration and appraisal wells during its 2019 financial year.
Offshore Trinidad and Tobago, the company continues to assess the potential commercialization of itsLeClerc gas discovery.
It intends to start its Phase 2 deepwater exploration campaign during the second half of its 2018 financial year with two wells off Trinidad and Tobago, followed by a third at the start of the 2019 financial year.
