RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras’ oil and gas production from its presalt fields offshore Brazil fell 2.9% last month to 1.63 MMboe/d.
The decline was due to maintenance shutdowns at the FPSOsCidade de Anchieta and Cidade de Caraguatatuba.
Petrobras’ Brazilian gas output was also lower, partly due to a maintenance shutdown of the FPSOCidade de Anchieta, which serves the Jubarte, Baleia Azul, and Pirambu fields in the presalt Campos basin.
Overseas, the company’s oil production was down 3.6% to 61,000 b/d, mainly because of operating issues at thedeepwater Akpo and Agbami fields off Nigeria, and well closures in the US Gulf of Mexico during Hurricane Nate.
