MHWirth to service drilling kit on Transocean rigs

Transocean has awarded Akastor subsidiary MHWirth a 10-year agreement worth up to $100 million for maintenance and repair of topsides drilling equipment on nine semisubmersible rigs and deepwater drillships.

OSLO, Norway – Transocean has awarded Akastor subsidiary MHWirth a 10-year agreement worth up to $100 million for maintenance and repair of topsides drilling equipment on nine semisubmersible rigs and deepwater drillships.
Four of the rigs have a complete MHWirth topsides equipment package while the other five are equipped with a MHWirth topdrive.
The agreement covers maintenance, inspection, provision of spares, overhaul, repair and recertification of the equipment.
