PERTH, Australia – BHP and PEMEX have submitted an exploration and appraisal plan for the Trion contractual area license CNH-A1-Trion/2016 to Mexico’s Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos.
Offshore Trinidad and Tobago,BHP continues to assess the potential commercialization of its LeClerc gas discovery, and expects to start Phase 2 deepwater exploration in the area during the second half of the 2018 financial year.
The company plans to drill three wells off Trinidad and Tobago and the Scimitar exploration well in the US Gulf of Mexico.
Ongoing development project investments include a life extension program at the North West Shelf project offshore Western Australia, andMad Dog Phase 2 in the GoM.
