Maintenance work on the Tamar platform in the Israeli sector of the Mediterranean Sea last week revealed a crack in the emission pipe used to release natural gas and pressure.

TEL AVIV, Israel – Maintenance work on the Tamar platform in the Israeli sector of the Mediterranean Sea last week revealed a crack in the emission pipe used to release natural gas and pressure.
According to partnerDelek Drilling, operator Noble Energy subsequently halted the supply of natural gas from the Tamar reservoir, and repairs are under way.
Noble expects the facilities to be offline for only a short period until production can resume. The planned upgrade work is continuing.
