HOUSTON– Paragon Offshore Ltd. has named James Swent III as president and CEO and George Sandison as chairman of the board of directors.
In addition, Paragon has appointed Anirudha Pangarkar as senior vice president and COO and Lee M. Ahlstrom as senior vice president and CFO.
Also, Andrew W. Tietz will continue in his role as senior vice president – Marketing and Contracts, Todd D. Strickler will continue as senior vice president of Administration, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, and Julie Ferro will continue as vice president – Human Capital Services.
After more than 40 years in the drilling industry, William C. “Charlie” Yester, Paragon’s senior vice president – Operations, has elected to retire as of Sept. 1, 2017. During his career with Paragon and its parent company, Noble Corp., he saw the transition of the company from a land-based contract drilling company in the US Lower 48 based in Oklahoma to a domestic offshore driller to an international provider of jackup and floating drilling rigs.
Yester served Noble as vice president - Division Manager in Qatar for 15 years and was vice president – Division Manager for Africa in Geneva before choosing to come to Paragon in August of 2014. He also had the distinct honor of having a jackup rig named after him—theNoble Charlie Yester, now the Paragon M1161, which is currently operating in India.
