CALGARY, Canada – Husky Energy has commissioned a 3D seismic survey over the 7,700-sq km (2,973-sq mi) exploration block DW-1 offshore Taiwan.

The program is around 80% complete.

In the Madura Strait off Indonesia, the company’s liquids-richBD Gas Project is approaching the start of commercial production. The facilities will supply gas is to East Java.

Work continues on four additional fields in the Madura Strait, with shallow-water platforms installed at the combinedMDA-MBH and MDK fields, scheduled for first production during 2019-2020.

All three fields share infrastructure, including a floating production vessel. Processed gas will be tied into the existing East Java subsea pipeline.

Husky estimates gross sales volumes from the BD Gas Project and the MDA-MBH and MDK fields at roughly 250 MMcf/d of gas and 6,000 b/d of associated liquids, once production has fully ramped up.

Pre-engineering activities are also progressing at the MAC field, with an approved development plan in place, and Husky is evaluating further discoveries in the region for potential development.
