HOUSTON – Husky Energy has assigned Wood Group to complete detailed engineering for the topsides of the White Rose wellhead platform, a concrete gravity-based structure that will be installed offshore Newfoundland.
The contract scope includes procurement services and engineering design work.
Wood Group says it identified various innovations to reduce engineering person-hours and achieve other savings.
CEO Robin Watson added: “We are combining our global expertise and capabilities from St. John’s, Canada; Houston; Sandefjord, Norway; and Bogotá, Colombia to complete White Rose in the next 12 months…”
