FORNEBU, Norway – Aker Solutions has won a contract to supply three umbilicals and associated accessories for Eni’s Coral South floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project offshore Mozambique.
The three steel tube umbilicals, more than 19 km (11.8 mi) long in total, will connect the Coral South floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility to the field’s subsea production system.
All will be manufactured at Aker Solutions’ complex in Moss, Norway, and will be delivered at the end of 2019.
Coral South, discovered in 2012, is the first energy project offshore Mozambique. Estimated reserves are around 450 bcm of natural gas.
