OSLO, Norway – Samsung Heavy Industries has contracted TMC Compressors (TMC) to supply a marine compressed air system to a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU).
This will have a storage capacity of 170,000 cu m (6 MMcf) and a minimum regas capacity of 750 MMcf/d.
TMC’s marine compressed air system will comprise two 44-kW service air compressors and two 44-kW control air compressors.
TMC has options to deliver similar compressed air systems to Samsung for three additional FSRUs that the shipyard may build for Höegh LNG, for potential delivery during 2019-20.
