Development is based on a fixed platform and an oil storage vessel, in water depths of 110-120 m (361-393 ft). Produced oil will be exported via buoy loaders, with the rich gas sent to the Sleipner A platform for final processing.
Injection gas will be imported from the Gassled-operated Zeepipe 2A trunkline. As part of thePhase 2 development of the nearby Johan Sverdrup field, Gina Krog will in time be connected to a multi-field power supply network in the Utsira High region.
NPD estimates Gina Krog’s recoverable reserves at 16.8 MMcm of oil, 11.8 bcm of gas, and 3.2 MM metric tons (3.53 MM tons) of NGLs.
Investment costs will likely reach NOK30.9 billion ($3.71 billion), within the range of uncertainty detailed in the plan for development and operation.
