PERTH, Australia - Monadelphous Group has been awarded a long-term maintenance services contract for the Ichthys LNG project from INPEX Operations Australia.
The contract is for an initial period of six years with a further two-year extension option.
Monadelphous has been engaged to deliver operational, campaign and shutdown maintenance services and brownfield projects implementation associated with the Ichthys floating central processing facility,Ichthys Explorer,and the Ichthys VenturerFPSO.
Located in the Browse basin about 450 km (280 mi) from Broome, Western Australia, the Ichthys LNG project is said to involve some of the largest offshore facilities in the industry, including the Ichthys Explorer, claimed to be the world’s largest semisubmersible central processing facility.
